Atom Hotels signs a new lease agreement with Fergus Group for the Son Caliu Mar Hotel
Both groups reach an agreement for Fergus, under the FERGUS Hotels brand, to operate the Hotel Son Caliu Mar next season 2023 under the name FERGUS Club Palmanova Park
Atom Hotels, the first hotel SOCIMI in Spain with 29 hotels and more than 6,800 rooms, founded by GMA and Bankinter Investment, has announced the signing of a new lease agreement for the Hotel Son Caliu Mar, a 315-room, a 4-star hotel located in Calvià, Mallorca, with Fergus Group, a Mallorcan group with more than 10,000 beds.
The hotel will be leased by Fergus from November 2022, starting operations in the summer of 2023 under the Fergus Club brand, an all-inclusive family-oriented brand. The hotel was leased until now by Ibersol.
Ibersol and GMA (ATOM’s business manager) reached an agreement last July to terminate the resort’s contract amicably and close the new agreement with Fergus Group.
This is the second transaction that Fergus Group has closed with ATOM Hotels Socimi, which will allow it to manage more than 2,400 rooms in the municipality of Calvià. Atom Hoteles SOCIMI, also owns the 506-room Fergus Club Europa in Paguera, a leading resort in the area and the most essential holiday club in the south of the island.
The hotel will open under the name of FERGUS Club Palmanova Park, offering a full range of services adapted to the group’s quality standards: 3 swimming pools – one of which will be a Splash Pool, specially designed for children – 2 restaurants, 2 bars, Spa, sports areas, Game Zone, gym, meeting rooms and function rooms. In addition, the establishment will have a parking area and spacious gardens. For that purpose, GMA and Fergus are working on a comprehensive refurbishment project to be undertaken before the opening in 2023.
