Atom Hotels continues its asset-rotation plan with the sale of the Exe Rey Don Jaime Hotel in Valencia to Genefim

Atom Hoteles has sold the 4-star, 319-room Exe Rey Don Jaime in Valencia to Genefim (Société Générale Group) for €50 million.
The hotel will continue to be operated by Eurostars Hotel Company (Hotusa Group).
The transaction is fully aligned with the leading hotel SOCIMI’s asset-rotation and divestment strategy.

Atom Hoteles SOCIMI, the hotel-investment vehicle created in 2018 by Bankinter Investment and GMA, has signed an agreement to sell the Exe Rey Don Jaime hotel for €50 million. The divestment forms part of the company’s selective rotation policy aimed at optimising its portfolio and strengthening its position in the sector.

The Exe Rey Don Jaime—an iconic 14-storey property located next to the Turia Gardens and just minutes from the City of Arts and Sciences—offers 319 rooms, ten meeting rooms, an outdoor pool and a rooftop terrace, and will continue to be operated by Eurostars Hotel Company (Hotusa Group).

This is the socimi’s eighth transaction; at its peak the company owned 32 hotels with 7,070 rooms worth more than €1 billion.

Following these transactions, the SOCIMI retains a portfolio of 24 hotels—almost 6,000 rooms—valued at €858 million, spread across urban and resort destinations and leased to top-tier operators such as Meliá, Marriott, Hyatt, NH, Ilunion, Eurostars…

The sale of the Exe Rey Don Jaime highlights GMA’s ability to enhance hotel assets, reposition them and take advantage of the buoyant Spanish hotel-investment market.
