GMA is an independent investment firm specialized in the hotel sector and focused on investment, asset management and real estate projects.
GMA has a professional team with more than 30 years of experience in both the national and international markets.
The company has managed its own investments as well as third‑party investments, assuming different roles depending on the type of vehicle and project—ranging from opportunity sourcing, fund structuring, acquisitions and disposals, asset management, co‑investment, development, operations and divestment of assets.
In recent years, GMA has participated in more than 500 transactions and projects worth over 5 billion euros. Currently, it manages more than 1.5 billion euros in assets across all the entities in which it participates.
It currently manages approximately €1.5 billion in assets across all the companies in which it holds an interest. Its parent company is GMA Capital, the sponsoring partner alongside Bankinter of Atom Hoteles SOCIMI, Spain’s leading hotel-sector SOCIMI.

We carefully design a unique business plan for each hotel based on its market, location, asset type and service levels. We have extensive experience with Spanish and international hotel brands, providing a strong perspective to determine the right brand for each hotel. Each asset and investment is carefully analysed and has its own unique business model to ensure the best returns.

What we do
Identifying the right investment opportunities
We excel at identifying and analysing strategic opportunities featuring USPs, critical size, nearby demand drivers and a potential for improvement. We have a diverse network of brokers, operators and direct owners which enables us to select the most efficient source, ensuring each project offers a competitive price.
GMA drives Business Plan objectives through a careful control of the existing hotel operator and brand, or through the careful selection and proposal of the most appropriate brand.
Analysis & Execution
Continuous in-depth analysis ensures the alignment with the investment, profitability and risk objectives, anticipating possible impacts on assets and portfolios under our management.
Our agile structure and methodology grant us the essential flexibility to quickly adapt to macro and micro changes. We conduct an integrated asset analysis to quickly understand the sources of relative risk and return, both within the portfolio itself and new pipeline opportunities.
At GMA we take an active role in the full investment cycle, assuming each role: supervision of due diligences and audits, optimization of the ownership structure to maximize cash flow, negotiations with vendors, lending and financing partners, operators as well as shareholder agreements and joint ventures.
Asset management
In coordination with operators and industry experts, we develop a customized business plan for each asset in order to maximize its value, as well as a specific strategy for each destination/product to optimize the overall portfolio.
GMA identifies and selects the most suitable hotel brand for each asset, negotiating minimum guaranteed payments when applicable. In cases where the existing hotel brand is maintained, we ensure that each contract is fully aligned with the objectives established in the business plan for that asset. We stand out for our ability to define and execute major refurbishment projects that drive significant repositioning of the asset.
Our team of experts analyses each asset, defines the concept and the scope of the refurbishment, and adapts it to the expected return on investment. In this way, we reposition the hotel, improving both its operating performance and guest satisfaction. We also provide financial control and legal follow‑up throughout the entire process.

Víctor Martí Gilabert
Víctor MARTÍ GILABERT is CEO and Founder of GMA.
With more than 20 years hotel investment and real estate experience, Victor manages investments, real estate projects and hospitality operations.
His expertise covers different business areas from business operation to business development through investments and contract negotiation between properties and operators (franchising, management, leases, sales purchases, etc.). Prior to founding GMA, he was Chairman of Horwath HTL, a leading international Hospitality consultancy firm. He was also member of Horwath HTL International Council representing EMEA.
Víctor has led strategic consulting in hotel real estate and hospitality businesses for investment and private equity firms, hotel chains, family offices, among others. Throughout his career he has managed over 400 transactions and hotel projects worth + 5b€.
Victor holds a degree in Travel & Hospitality. He also graduated in Theme Parks Management from Cornell University (Ithaca-New York) and completed a Senior Management Program at IESE Business School, ranked 1st in Executive Education by the Financial Times.
